Wire Size and Voltage Drop Calculator

STEP 1: FIND CONDUCTOR SIZE

Conductor
Number of Current Carrying Conductors
Construction
Continous Load (Amperes)
Non-Continuous Load (Amperes)
Ambient Temperature (°F)
Termination Temperature (°C)
OCPD Rated for Continuous Load
Conductors in Raceway 24 Inches or Less

Conductor Size
Fuse or Inverse Time Circuit Breaker Size

NOTE: Ampacity of conductors are based on NFPA 70 (NEC) Table 310.15(B)(16) per the 2017 NEC or 310.16 per the 2020 NEC when utilizing the user selected conditions of use. See 110.14(C), 240.4(D), 310.15(B), 310.15(C) for other limitations, where applicable. The calculator results do not take 240.4(D) small conductor rules into consideration for sizing overcurrent protective devices, where applicable nor does it account for parallel raceway or cable installations.

STEP 2: FIND VOLTAGE DROP

Voltage (V)
Phase
Distance One-Way (ft)
