The health of our employees and their families is a top priority at Encore Wire. Health not only affects employees’ work, but impacts their family life, too. To enhance employee health and wellbeing, we operate an Occumed Plus On-Site Clinic staffed by a nurse practitioner. This quality healthcare facility provides basic screenings and treatments equal to those at a general medical practice. In addition, we offer a wide range of health and wellness services to help our employees make good lifestyle choices

As a manufacturer, we recognize that we can have a lasting impact on the environment. That’s why we continually examine our processes and products searching for changes that will improve our campus, our community, and the overall environment. We incorporate sustainable recycle-and-reuse programs, along with waste-reduction practices, to make sure that we’re doing everything we can to protect the planet. We also benchmark our environmental initiatives against a variety of industrial standards, including waste generation, energy usage, water usage, and emissions. Throughout our campus, we’ve invested in a wide variety of environmentally conscious programs, including our baghouse filtration systems, lead-free plastics mill, 30,000-gallon well water system, copper recycling program, and LEED® Platinum Research and Development Center, the Encore TechLab®.
